Traditional Ceremonies

Eco & Woodland Burials
As people are becoming more aware of the environmental issues, coffins have been produced to cater for different requirements. Coffins constructed from sea grass, willow, wicker and even cardboard offer an alternative to the more traditional timber construction. These eco coffins can be used for both cremation and burial.
Woodland burial grounds have also been established in recent years to offer a more natural setting for burial. Once the coffin is interred, either a tree is planted in place of a headstone or the burial ground is left with no marker, allowing the natural landscape to remain intact. A beautiful location near our premises is Midford Natural Burial Ground. Characterised by deep valleys and flower-rich grassland, it is the perfect resting place for your loved one.
